The Best Spicy Turkey Chili Recipe

Spicy turkey chili was one of the first recipes I learned how to perfect on my own. It has a special place in my heart. If you’re looking for the best turkey chili recipe, look no further! This easy recipe will have you filling your bowl with seconds.

Fall has arrived, and, for me, that means it’s spicy chili season! Nothing too much better than sitting down for a warm bowl of comfort food like turkey chili. Topped with your favorite toppings (I love greek yogurt and jalapenos on mine) this simple chili will warm you up in no time!

STEP 1

Over medium-high heat, in a 5-quart heavy bottom pan, add olive oil and ground turkey. Chop onion and garlic, add to ground turkey and cook until all moisture from onion has evaporated (about 10 minutes).

STEP 2

Drain and rinse all cans of beans in a large colendar. Once the turkey and onion mixture is ready, add the drained beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, diced green chilis, and tomato paste. Stir to combine, and, add all seasonings.

STEP 3

Cover, turn stove top to low and cook for 30 minutes, or, up to 4 hours. Or, transfer to a slow cooker and cook on low for up to 6 hours. Taste to check for seasoning and adjust to your liking.

Spicy turkey chili is perfect with a side of warm cornbread or your favorite corn chips! Top with your favorites, like, cheese, sour cream (Greek yogurt is a great healthy substitute!), jalapenos, and chopped green onions. Enjoy!
